Yes, options remain for you to join the technical wing of IAF, but you need to pass entrance exams conducted by NDA. But to increase your opportunities, best thing to do is to go in for MCA or taking up some certification courses like CCNA, CCP etc. Always go for such certification courses from good institutes like NIIT and Accel which can offer good placement opportunities as well.

Well, M.Sc (IT) opens a number of avenues before you. People with degrees in Computer Science and Information Technology, etc. usually take up jobs with software companies as these jobs usually promise good salary-packages. You can also take up teaching jobs - teaching has been and continues to be a respectable profession. Esle you can try for govt. jobs like banking jobs, civil services, etc. (but that will be diverting from your field, something I do not think you will quite mind considering that you are also thinking of jobs in Defence sectors).
As for Defence Sector-jobs, you can join the Armed Forces provided you meet age and other eligibility criteria. Entry in Armed Forces in officer cadres is through UPSC which advertises the schemes in all national dailies generally twice a year for regular commission and short service commission. The selection process entails written test followed by interviews by the service selection board. Take a look at this site http://www.winentrance.com/career_courses/Career-Armed-Forces-Officer.html and you will have a better idea. |

As you are specializing in Information yechnology, a job in the IT industry is the obvious choice for you. As regards specifically what area, this would really depend on your interest in the various sub-fields of IT that you have been exposed to both in your PGDCA. There continues to be a huge demand for IT graduates in the software industry, and most sub-fields within the software industry are still highly lucrative and fulfilling. You can look up jobsites like www.naukri.com. These sites have ample opportunities in the field of software for qualified people. You can also float your resumes to placement consultants who can help you get the desired job. You can apply to companies directly by visiting their company website. While the larger companies would be looking for a minimum qualification of MCA , MSc I.T. or BE computer science plus some experience, the smaller firms are not so stringent in their criteria and would like to hire candidates with good software fundamentals. We wish you all the best.

No, basically not.......! Thats because generally it has been observed that IT Graduates are weak in Programing Languages, which the back bone of Ethical Hacking or Cyber security course. At least if someone has good command in C, C++ then there is possibility of being a good Professional Hacker for that person in future. However, there is nothing to do with eligibility or any thing else because everyone is able to study Hacking courses. Where as for Cyber Security you can go for courses in Cyber Law etc. |
