Eligibility Conditions for UGC-NET :

• Your Minimum educational qualification should be Post Graduate degree from recognized university in Library and information science.
• If you belong from the General/OBC category then 55% marks in Post-Graduation.
• If you belong from the SC/ST Category then 50% marks in Post-Graduation.
• If you will apply for JRF(Junior Research Fellowship) then your age should not be above 28 years.

Exam Pattern :-

• Paper I will include questions from General Ability.
• Paper II will include questions from your subjects and it will be optional.
• Paper III will include questions from your stream and it will be subjective.

Number of Questions :-

• Paper I will include 60 and you will have to solve only 50.
• Paper II will include 50 and all questions are compulsory and optional.
• Paper III will include 75 questions and all questions will be compulsory.

Time Duration :-

• Paper I will be of 1 hour and 20 minutes.
• Paper II will be of 1 hour and 20 minutes.
• Paper III will be of 2 hour and 30 minutes.
