I am preparing for mat exam(dec 09) for mba. which are the other entrance tests for m.b.a of same level or higher level.

Other than MAT (Management Aptitude Test), there are many High level Entrance exams for MBA admission in India. Some of them are as follows :

CAT (Common Admission Test)
XAT (XLRI's Admission Test)
FMS (Faculty of Management Studies exam)
MFC (Master of Finance & Control exam)
SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test)

There are various entrance examination for MBA,But In india the most common examination are :

from the score of these two exams you are eligible for most of the MBA colleges...
However, for some colleges you need to fill the form separately with score of CAT & MAT...

you might not get a break in big companies, but you can start off with small companies. If you want to be a software developer in java/j2ee you can do these courses from institutes which are specialised in this and also utilise their placement services.

CAT is another entrance exam for mba. It is a little bit difficult than mat. So you will have to prepare well for it
