Am I eligible for the next Lower Division Clerk (LDC) examination? My date of birth is 16th September, 1992. What is the standard age criteria for LDC? Is there any relaxation for any caste category candidates? And, when would be the next LDC exam is going to held?

LDC recruitment examination is generally conducted by SSC or state SSC.

The common eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed 12th from a recognised board.

The minimum age limit is 18 yeas, the upper age limit varies with examination and there is also relaxation for the reserved category.

Candidates will become eligible for selection after qualifying in all the stages of the examination.

To apply for the post a candidate must have age in between 18 years to 27 years as on August,1st in the year of exam.


Age relaxation:

SC/ST - 5 years
OBC- 3 years
PWD- 10 years
PWD+OBC- 13 years
PWD+SC/ST- 15 years

The eligibility to appear for the LDC recruitment examination is that candidate must have passed 12th or equivalent from a recognised board or institute. There is relaxation in age limit for reserved category with minimum age limit as 18 years.

The entrance examination is conducted by SSC and other examination conducting body.

Candidates have to appear in all the stages of examination for final selection.
