There is no age limit for CAT. But there are eligibility factors which come in as a criterion for CAT. Coming back to age limit then people with 10 to 20 year of work experience also appear for CAT and take admission for MBA. Some basic starting age may be require which will be calculated based on the age of the person in the final year of graduation.
That starting age will be 16+. |

Students from any background can sit for this exam as it demands only a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Along with that 50% of marks in aggregate is required at graduation level. For the reserved category candidates there is some relaxation. They have to get 45% of marks. Final year students are also eligible to sit for the exam. Students who sits for the main written exam if manages to get a good percentile then their name will be shortlisted for the GD and PI rounds. Some colleges gives importance to co-curricular activities and job experience too. Now, let me tell you that you need not worry about the age criteria here too much because you can sit for this exam whenever you want to. There is no age restriction to follow. Similarly, there is no restriction on the number of times one can give this exam as well. In the written exam there will be four sections and to complete each section a total of 70 minutes you will get which needs to be utilized properly. The key word is time management here. That's where someone can beat you and take the advantage. So make sure you start preparing much in an advance. Work on your weak areas and practice hard. Areas with Weightage:-
Hope this helps :-> :-> |
