Hi,
NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY & NAVAL ACADEMY EXAMINATION is conducted twice a year,however the candidates have to fulfill the requirements for this examination. They can apply online by using the website at www.upsconline.nic.in Some of the criteria for age is given below: Age: 16.5 - 19 years of unmarried male candidate. NDA exam is conducted by UPSC for joining- Indian Army Indian Navy Indian Air force Age limit for NDA exam is - 16.5 years to 19 years There are other eligibility criteria also for NDA exam - Candidate shoyld be 12th pass from a recognised central or state board. Eligibility of NDA is as follows :- Age limit :- Minimum age of the candidate should not be less then 16.5 years otherwise the candidate will be rejected Maximum Age limit :- The candidate must not cross 19 years as it is the upper Age limit. Nationality :- Indian As well as candidate from Near by countries like Nepal, Bhutan are eligible Education :- A) Candidate must be 12th pass. B) There is no percentage required and all passed student are eligible C). Maths and Physics should be compulsory subject if the candidate want to apply for Air force or For Indian Navy. D). There is no specific subject wanted for Indian Army E) 12th class must be passed from a recognized board. Physical qualification : Height :- 157.5 cm Weight :- Not less then 50 KG Chest :- 80 cm Expansion :- 5 CM Good eye sight (6/6,6/9) Must not have Flat feet All the best |

NDA - National Defence Academy, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II to join Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.
The age limit for NDA is from 16.5 to 19 years with no relaxation for any reserved category candidate. Besides the eligible candidate must be an Unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board with good physical and Mental Fitness. NDA - National Defence Academy, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year for an entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.
The age criteria to join NDA is 16.5 to 19 years. There is no upper age relaxation of any kind provided for reserved category candidate. Apart from this an eligible candidate must be an Indian unmarried Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board with good Physical and Mental health. Eligibilty to apply for the NDA exams are:
12th pass for the Army wing 12th pass with Phy and Maths as subjects for the Airforce and Navy wing Age- Minimum 16.5 years Maximum 19 years Next NDA exams would be conducted on 11th August 2013 For this exam only candidates born between 2nd July 1995 to 1st January 1998 can apply. UPSC conducts the NDA exams twice each year. Only MALE candidates who are unmarried can apply to the NDA exams |

The selection procedure includes the following stages:
The written exam consists of two papers: Mathematics and General Ability Test. For the former 300 marks have been allotted and for the latter 600 marks have been allotted. You will get 2.5 hours each to complete the two papers. The General Ability Test paper has been further sub-divided into two categories: English and General Knowledge. For English 200 marks have been allotted and for GK 400 marks have been allotted. Both the paper consists of objective questions only in the form of MCQs. Mathematics and GK paper will be set in both English and Hindi. You wont be allowed to use calculator. Hope this helps ![]() |

NDA is National Defence Academy and every year UPSC conducts examination two time in a year for recruiting Cadets for this Academy.
Those who are willing to join Indian Defence at a young age can apply for this examination and if you are talented then you will be selected for NDA. Age limit for NDA Exam: -The age should be between 16.5 to 19 years and you must be an Unmarried male. -Only Indian Citizen are eligible for this entry scheme. -You also should have good physical and mental health otherwise you will be rejected in the medical examination.
