what is the age in NDA...Could u please give me the details for the same

Hi,

NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY & NAVAL ACADEMY EXAMINATION is conducted twice a year,however the candidates have to fulfill the requirements for this examination. They can apply online by using the website at www.upsconline.nic.in

Some of the criteria for age is given below:

Age: 16.5 - 19 years of unmarried male candidate.

NDA exam is conducted by UPSC for joining-

Indian Army
Indian Navy
Indian Air force

Age limit for NDA exam is - 16.5 years to 19 years

There are other eligibility criteria also for NDA exam -

Candidate shoyld be 12th pass from a recognised central or state board.

Candidate should be a male.

Candidate should be unmarried.

NDA exam is conducted in two phases -

NDA I

NDA II

NDA I has three stages to clear -

Dear Aspirant,

The Age limit for the NDA is varied for every post.

SO we cannot say any particular age for every thing.

Because every post has different requirements.So it will be varied.

If it is for general then it would be below 20years.

Mostly it is below 30 years only.

Eligibility of NDA is as follows :-

Age limit :- Minimum age of the candidate should not be less then 16.5 years otherwise the candidate will be rejected
Maximum Age limit :- The candidate must not cross 19 years as it is the upper Age limit.

Nationality :- Indian As well as candidate from Near by countries like Nepal, Bhutan are eligible

Education :- A) Candidate must be 12th pass.

B) There is no percentage required and all passed student are eligible

C). Maths and Physics should be compulsory subject if the candidate want to apply for Air force or For Indian Navy.

D). There is no specific subject wanted for Indian Army

E) 12th class must be passed from a recognized board.

Weight :- Not less then 50 KG
Chest :- 80 cm

For NDA exam , you should completed 12th standard or you are in final year of 12th standard then you are eligible for NDA Exam.

Those candidate have 12th standard subjects Physics and Mathematics are applicable for Indian Air Force , Indian Navy and Indian Army .Otherwise you are applicable only Indian Army post .

The candidate age should between 16.5 years to 19 years.There is no age relaxation for Sc/ST candidate .

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply. You must have Citizenship of India.

Syllabus for Entrance Examination:-

• Paper I - Mathematics : (Maximum Marks 300)
Arithmetic, Mensuration, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics.

* Completion of 12th with Commerce for Indian Army.

* Completion of 12th with PCM for Indian Navy and Indian Air Force from any approved college or university.

In order to join the Army, Navy and Air force wings of the National Defence Academy you need to give the National Defence Academy Entrance Exam. This exam takes place twice a year. Once in April and second time in September.

While filling up the application form you need to state your preferences there as to which academy you want to join. But the final decision will be based on the rank you secure. You will get a training of three years in the academy.

NDA Exam Criteria:-

• You must be a citizen of India.
  
• If you are a male citizen and unmarried then you can sit for this exam.
  
• Your age should be between 16.5 and 19 years of age.
  
• To join the army wing you need to pass 12th class exam conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
  
• To join the air force or naval wing you need to pass 12th class exam with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
  
• You need to be in good physical and mental health to be selected. There is a physical standard set by the exam holder and you need to satisfy that.

The selection procedure includes the following stages:

• Written Examination
• Intelligence and Personality Test by SSB.

The written exam consists of two papers: Mathematics and General Ability Test. For the former 300 marks have been allotted and for the latter 600 marks have been allotted. You will get 2.5 hours each to complete the two papers.

The General Ability Test paper has been further sub-divided into two categories: English and General Knowledge. For English 200 marks have been allotted and for GK 400 marks have been allotted.

Both the paper consists of objective questions only in the form of MCQs. Mathematics and GK paper will be set in both English and Hindi. You wont be allowed to use calculator.

NDA is National Defence Academy and every year UPSC conducts examination two time in a year for recruiting Cadets for this Academy.

Those who are willing to join Indian Defence at a young age can apply for this examination and if you are talented then you will be selected for NDA.
