what is the age limit for NDA enterance exam?...please tell me the age limit

NDA(National Defence Academy) is conducted two times every year i.e. NDA-I and NDA-II by the UPSC
(Union Public Service Commission).

AGE LIMIT FOR NDA Exam: 16 ½ to 19 yrs as of first day of the month in which course is due to commence.

Educational Qualifications:

• Completion of 12th with PCM from any accredited board.
• Completion of 12th with Arts and Commerce for Army wing.

NDA examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year .This exam is conduct for recruitment in - Army wings, Navy wings, Air force Wings.

The minimum required qualification for NDA exam is 12th standard .If your 12th subject is mathematics and Physics then you are applicable for all above wings.NDA exam not require any percentage marks of the candidate.

The candidate age should between 16.5 years to 19 years.There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidate . Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply. You must have Citizenship of India.

Physical standard for NDA exam is given below .You must fulfill the below given criteria , if you doesn't match to the below chart then you are not applicable for NDA exam.

the age limit of NDA entrance minimum 17 to 19 years

Follow the below


N.D.A == " NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY "


For this you must have a minimum of 12th qualification from a recognized university


The minimum age must be " 16.5 " years


Maximum age is allowed up to 19 years


There is no age relaxation for the reserved candidates


You must be Physically good

Mentally well


Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for it

NDA - National Defence Academy, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for an entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

NDA Eligibility are as follows :

> > Nationality

A candidate must either be : a citizen of India .

> > Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status

“Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1993 and not later than 1st July, 1995 are eligible” .

> > Educational Qualifications :

(i) For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equilvalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

National defense academy examination is the entrance exam for the getting entry into the three wings of defense:

1.Indian Army

2.Indian Navy

3.Indian Airforce.

Eligibility criteria for this exam:

>>10+2 passed/appearing with english as the compulsory subject from a recognized board.

>>The age limit for the exam is 16.5 to 19 years .No relaxations in age is provided to any one.

>>You must be an Unmarried male Indian.

Examination pattern :

It has two stages:

Suggestions:

Try to give your best in order to achieve success in this exam as it is not easy to crack this exam .there are very few seats and no of aspirants are large.

Practice previous years papers and build strong and short cuts for maths as there is time limit

The eligibility Criterion for NDA exam is given below-

1.You should have Indian citizenship.

2.Your age should be in the age group of 16-1/2 to 19 years.

3.You should be 12th passed or 12th appearing student with Maths and Physics as a subject.

It will provide you with an edge over others in the SSB interview if you have a NCC A-grade certificate.

You can get the application form from any post office or GPO in your city costing just 30Rs.

As told by other guys, the age limit for UPSC NDA Exam is between 16.5 years to 19 years.
Age limit for UPSC NDA Exam 2013 notified in January was from between 02 January 1995 to 01 January 1997.
