I am a 12th standard student of computer stream. Can anybody tell me about Bitsat and help me out? basically, what is bitsat? what is the use if i write a bitsat examination?

i still now saw the problems of PCM students of 12 th and BPC students of same

but first time listening the computer stream in 12th itself

BITSAT stands for Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test.

Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), pilani offers various Integrated First Degree programmes at its Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses. For admission into these programmes BITS, Pilani conducts an all-India entrance test popularly known as BITS Admission Test (BITSAT) every year.

BITSAT is a computer based online entrance test and first of its kind in India.

Eligibility
Birla Institute of Technology and Science has regularized several eligibility criteria for those candidates, who are applying to appear in the admission test. The eligibility criteria are given below.


* Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Board or its equivalent with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
* Candidate should have obtained minimum 80% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics put together in qualifying examination and at least 60% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
* The first rank students having Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 10+2 system / its equivalent from all central and state boards are directly selected irrespective of their BITSAT score.
* The students, who are appearing in 12th examination in the current year or who have passed in previous year only, are eligible to appear in BITSAT exam.
* The students, who have passed 12th examination year before previous year or earlier, are not eligible to apply.
* The students, who are presently studying at any of the BITS campuses, are not eligible to appear in BITSAT.

bitsat is also an entrance to do engineering........If you get seat through BITSAT, then there will be good opportunities for placements

BITSAT is the exam required for getting entry into BITS, pilani,goa and hyderabad. Bitsat is just like other engineering exams. You have 2 chances one in 12 and other one year to qualify. It is computer based online test. It has requirements of minimum 80 percent aggregate in PCM and 80 marks in english

Anyways,coming to the question BITSAT is a common entrance test held for the PCM(Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics) candidates having more than 80% in their 12th.Its an online test held at selected centers for around 15 days.The online test is held batch wise and so you will receive a call letter stating your date of examination and the venue where it is going to be held.If you score well in this examination you can get your self placed in top institutes like

BITS(Pilani),BITS(Goa),BITS(Hyderabad).

BITSAT 2011 Important Dates

Deadline to apply for BITSAT-2011 by submitting a printout of the completed form to the undersigned is 5.00 p.m. on 31st January, 2011
The test will be conducted between 11th May - 10th June, 2011
In addition to applying and appearing for BITSAT-2011, candidates will have to apply for admission to BITS through a separate application form for seeking admission to programmes offered at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses along with the details of the 12th class marks. BITSAT is the entrance exam that Birla Institute of Technology conducts every year..by clearing this exam with a good rank..u can become eligible for admission into a good college of BITS..BITS has a very good reputation and a great placement all over INDIA..it has 3 colleges..

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

For admission to any of the Integrated First Degree Programmes of BITS the candidate should have passed the 12th class examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Further, the candidate should have obtained a minimum of 80% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th class examination, at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects and adequate proficiency in English. However, admissions will be made only on his/her merit position based on the score obtained in BITSAT2012. Only Students who are appearing for 12th class examination in 2012 or who have passed the 12th class examination in 2011 are eligible to appear for BITSAT2012.

If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in 12th class or its equivalent, only his latest performance is considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed. Students who have passed 12th examination in 2010 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT-2012. Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT-2012
for admisstion in bit institute you get a more score according on total marks.
