The educational qualifications regarding with Common Law Admission Test are below mentioned:- # For Under-graduate Course:- Candidates must have finished their 12th standard with 50% marks from any approved institution. # For Post-graduate Course:- Candidates must have finished their BL or LLB degree with 55% marks from any approved institution. # Citizenship:- Must be Indian. CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test. This exam conducted by admission for LLB and LLM course. Eligibility: Candidate should be citizen of India. Candidate should complete the 12th standard from recognized state board. Candidate required min 50% of marks in 12th standard. Candidate age limit should not more than 20 years. Syllabus: English including Comprehension General Knowledge/ Current Affairs Elementary Mathematics Legal Aptitude Logical Reasoning All the best............ |

CLAT( Common Law Admission Test) is an all India entrance examination. CLAT is conducted by 14 National Law Universities (NLUs) for admissions to their under-graduate and post-graduate degree programmes (LL.B & LL.M).these 14 national Law University conducts CLAT on rotation. The CLAT-2013 is being conducted by Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur. For CLAT there is no fixed syllabus but topics under which question asked are- 1-English 2-Reasoning 3-Maths 4-General Knowledge In CLAT question related to these topics are asked. Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur (HNLU) is conducted the CLAT exam this year. If you are interested in doing graduation and post graduation in law then this exam is aptly suitable for you. To do LLB or graduation in law you need to pass higher secondary exam or its equivalent from a recognized board. Final year students can also apply for this exam. At 10+2 level you need to secure minimum 50% of marks at graduation level. For the reserved category candidates there is relaxation in percentage. SC/ST/PWD Candidates you need to get minimum 45% of marks in aggregate. Even final year students are also eligible to give this exam. The upper age limit for general and OBC category candidates is 20 years and for SC/ST candidates and persons with disability the upper age limit is 22 years. To do LLM or post graduation in law you need to have a L.B/B.L. Degree from a recognize university with not less than 50% of marks in aggregate. Even final year candidates can also apply for this exam. For the reserved category candidates there is some percentage relaxation. It is 45% of marks for the SC/ST/PWD candidates. No age criteria has been mentioned for this course which means you can apply whenever you want to. CLAT Exam LLB Pattern:- Subject Areas with Weightage:- -English including Comprehension -General Knowledge/ Current Affairs -Elementary Mathematics -Legal Aptitude -Logical Reasoning CLAT Exam LLM Pattern:- 1. Long Essay type questions-4 questions from Constitutional Law and Jurisprudence 2. Multiple-Choice Questions -50 questions from All compulsory law subjects prescribed by the BCI for the Under-Graduate Course except Constitutional Law and Jurisprudence. CLAT is Common Law Admission test for admission into Undergraduate and Post Graduate law courses.
The CLAT pattern for both the courses are different and will have different type of questions. CLAT Pattern (Undergraduate Course): -The exam will be of 200 marks. -The number of multiple-choice questions of one mark each will be 200. -The Duration of examination will be of 2 Hours -The questions will be from following subjects: English including Comprehension = 40 Marks General Knowledge/ Current Affairs = 50 Marks Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability) = 20 Marks Legal Aptitude = 50 Marks Logical Reasoning = 40 Marks There will be negative mark of 0.25 for every wrong answer. CLAT Pattern (Post Graduate Courses): -The exam will be of 2 hours duration and will carry 150 marks. -There will be long Essay Type Descriptive Questions Covering Constitutional Law and Jurisprudence.(100 Marks weightage and there will be 4 questions of 25 marks each) -There will be questions covering all compulsory law subjects prescribed by the BCI for the Under-Graduate Course except constitutional law and jurisprudence.(50 questions of 1 mark each) So prepare according to above subjects if you want to join any of the above course.
