CSIR exam is conducted by UGC for awarding the JRF or for determining the eligibility of lecturership of candidates in various government colleges or universities. CSIR exam is conducted for the post graduate students in science streams. You should score an aggregate of 55% marks in the PG level from a recognized institute. As an M.Sc Botany student, you can apply for the CSIR exam and if you obtain a good score in it, you can apply for lecturer jobs in many government colleges. You need to attend the personal interview as part of this. You can refer competitive guides and also previous year question paper as part of your preparation for the CSIR test. You can download the previous year question paper from the official website of UGC.
