I want to know the definition for i2c bus standard? And i want them in two or three lines.

--it was designed by philips

--it allow communication between different components on the same circuit board

--the name 12C translates into "INTER IC" sometime bus is also called IIC or 12C

--communication speed 100kb per second

--12C is not used on single board

--used to connect components which are connected with the help of cable


SIGNIFICANT features:

only 2 bus lines are required

no strict baud rate requirements


simple master/slave relation exist between different components


12C is a true multi-master bus
