Difference is only the name mentioned for different regions.

Re: What is the diference between M.E and M.Tech?
Hi
M.E - Master's in Engineering This course is basically a 2 years master's program which is the advanced studies of B.E i.e Bachelor in Education. The Basic Eligibility Criteria to do this course is that you should be a minimum graduate in B.E/B.Tech in any stream. M.Tech - Master's of Technology This course is basically a 2 years master's program which is the advanced studies of B.Tech i.e Bachelor of Technology.
Even for this the Basic Eligibility Criteria to do this course is that you should be a minimum graduate in B.E/B.Tech. Now coming to the difference between the two courses, just like the difference between B.Tech or B.E is that after Independence, in India there were only colleges and no universities which provided multiple streamed education facilities. So the colleges which provided only the Technical courses like the started calling this course as M.E and later when the proper Universities were developed, they started calling and offering this course in the name of M.Tech. Otherwise there is no such difference between the courses and so their market value is also the same. Hope this helps All the best Regards RANJEET |
