For a regular MCA course the minimum qualification required is graduation. Also Maths should be part of the syllabus studied both in 12th and first year of graduation. Integrated MCA includes both BCA and MCA. The minimum qualification required is 12th standard with Maths as a subject. So you can select the course based on your qualification.

MCA stands for Master of Computer Applications. This is a Post Graduate level course being offered by number of colleges in India.

Definitely there is a difference between both the courses like MCA and Integrated MCA.

The duration of MCA course will be of 3 years.

Here is the eligibility criteria to join this course.

One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university.

The candidate should have gone through Mathematics as the compulsory subject either at 10+2 level or at Graduation level.

Minimum percentage of marks required for the candidates at Graduation level is 50% of marks.

The admission will be given on the basis of performance in the Entrance Exam.

Each and every university will conduct its own Entrance Exam to give admission for MCA course.

In contrast to this,

The duration of Integrated MCA course will be of 5 years and this course is a combination of BCA and MCA.

You don't need to give separate Entrance Exam unlike above.

It is mandatory that you should have gone through Mathematics subject at your 10+2 level.

But the thing is that this course is being offered by less number of colleges in India. But the career scope for the candidates will be high after completion of this course.

You did not mention the highest level of academic qualification that you have.

If you have completed 12th class, then opt for Integrated MCA course and if you have completed your Graduation, then opt for MCA course.

Wish you all the best.

MCA means - Master in Computer Application and it is 3 years course
Integrated MCA means, it is included with BCA and it is 5 years program. It is good to do and it saves your 1 year.
