MCA and MS both the field belong to the world of Computer. One is application based course, while the other is based on the theoretical grounds of the computer science. Here are the key differences points that will clear your confusion about both the courses.

1. MCA stands for Master of Computer Application is a 3 year degree course, while, MS stands for Master of Science degree in Computer Science and is about 2 years course.

2. MCA graduates seeking good career opportunity in the Information Technology (IT) field in Software Development, Website Development, (Database Administrator) DBA, Hardware & Networking field etc. While, MS students have better career options in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Network security, Robotics, Wireless communications, Hardware & Networking, VLSI Technology, Embedded Systems etc.

I hope the above points have cleared your MS and MCA course bafflement.
