I have 45% marks in m.com and 60% mars. In b.ed. I. Bbelong to s.c. Category can I eligible for pgt commerce in govt school

Eligibility Details for Post Graduate Teacher(PGT)

Educational Qualification :-
  • You should have a Post Graduate pass out degree from recognized university.
  • Your Post Graduate degree should be from Arts/Science such as English/Hindi/Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Economics/Commerce Math/Biology/History/Geography/Computer Science/Bio Technology.
  • You should also have a Bachelor of Education(B.Ed) degree of at least 1 year from recognized university and B.Ed degree should be approved from the NCTE.
Those candidates who have a Post Graduate degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Bio Technology do not required B.Ed degree.So they ca apply for PGT Teachers without having a B.Ed degree.




Examination of PGT will be conducted in two phases.These are :-

  1. Part I - Objective Type.
  2. Part II - Descriptive Type.
Each Paper will be of 2 hour and 30 minutes.
Each paper will be of 200 marks.
Each paper will have 100 questions.
Each question carry 1 marks.


Part I Syllabus :-
  1. Test of General Awareness and Intelligence.
  2. Arithmetical Ability.
  3. Education Psychology and Technology.
  4. Communication Skill;s.
  5. Teaching and learning Process.
Part II Syllabus :-
  • This section will include 100 descriptive type questions from the subject in which you have completed your Post Graduation degree such as M.sc in Physics/MCA/M.sc in IT...etc.
  • You will have to answer the questions in your Own Language.
