With the Marks in GATE examination its hard to tell.

You must look at the cut off of your branch which is there in score card.

and What is the percentile you got.

For getting a seat in IIT's one must be having a percentile of 99% at least.

Below which the chances are NIL in present competition.

For CSE branch I don't think 50 marks will be having a percentile of
99.

but Its good enough to get a seat in other colleges like SRM, BITS, etc.

Try for NITs also because if your percentile is in between 85 to 95. you can get a seat over there.

If you have SC/ST reservation then chances are higher in NITs with 50 marks.

but IITs no way you can get with 50 marks.

Many other Institutes are there try looking for them.
