what is the fee stacture of bits pilani(pilani campus)for B.TECH...please tell me what is it

The fees structure of B.Tech. course of at BITS Pilani is given below.

Tuition Fee
Admission Fees: Rs.18,000/-
Semester Fees: Rs.70,000/- per semester
Summer Term Fees: Rs. 35,000/-

The fees for Hostel accomodation is Rs. 3500/- per semester
and Rs. 1750/- in Summer terms.
Mess and Electricity Charges is approximately Rs. 6000/- per semester and is
Rs. 3000/- in Summer term.

Apart from these Rs. 6000/- is payable before every semester as advance for Mess and
Electricity charges. This fee would be Rs.3000/- for summer term.

Fees Structure

Fees Structure applicable for candidates seeking new admission during the academic year 2012-2013

The fees schedule applicable for all programmes is as follows:
Admission Fees Each Semester Fees
Rs. 15,000/- Rs. 32,700/-

A candidate who has been offered admission will have to pay Rs. 47,700/- (Admission fees and Semester fees for the Starting Semester of the programme) immediately on receiving the Admit Offer Letter. Any candidate who desires to discontinue from the programme after confirmation of admission & registration for the courses specified in the admit offer letter will forfeit the total amount of fees paid.

Certain fully residential programmes like B.S. Marine Engineering where hostel and other facilities are provided, there will be additional fees prescribed which will be communicated at the time of admission.

Note: For the examination centre at Dubai, in addition to the semester fees, for each semester there will be an examination centre fees of 1000 UAE Dhirams or equivalent per semester out of which 500 UAE Dhirams is to be paid at the time of appearing in Mid-semester examinations at Dubai Centre for that semester and the remaining 500 UAE Dhirams is to be paid at the time of appearing in comprehensive examinations at Dubai centre for that semester.

The Bachelor of technology (B.Tech. or B.Tech.(Hons)) is an undergraduate academic degree awarded after the completion of a four year program of studies at an accredited university of a particular country.

Most universities follow the semester pattern. There are two semester in one academic year. For a four year B.Tech course, there are 8 semesters.

Each semester has different portion and a candidate is required to pass the exam at the end of each semester in order to proceed to the next semester.
