hello i m krishna vyas and i have given 12 exams.. i am quite confused about my further carrier.. i want to ask that whats the further scope of biotechnology? i mean can a student having 75% marks can go for biotechnology?

i got 168 cut off mark.can i apply for biotechnolgy in counselling

Bio Technology is an Awesome option after your 12th I can say this because of its revolution in the job market it is being recording the exponential growth from the past few years.

Biotechnolgy is hailed as the next frontier in the scientific exploration .The combination of Technology with biology is crazy to think and awesome to experience .

I missed this branch during my selection of B.tech branch due to some reasons.
I wanna share something interesting regarding this field .
This field gained the Universal Recognization from the Invention of DNA Structure in the year 1953

This gives you an opportunity in New type of Technology of which world is not aware of.

Bio-technology is more expected course in abroad

it has lot of scope in abroad,meanwhile you can finish your pg there itself...

Many biotechnology parks have been made by indian government...

Hello, yah sure 75% secured candidate is eligible to opt biotech as a carrier option.you can complete your bachelor degree from and affiliated universities ,there is no entrance exam for bachelor degree, there may be selection in government colleges on the basis of merit list and you can get direct admission in private college.
Biotechnology is completely a research based sector in which before forwarding your steps you should have enough experience and have participated in internship programs.you should have complete project works along with internship programs during bachelor or master degree, for better placement you can prefer training, which is very essential in this regard.
After completing bachelor degree you can appear for CBEE(combined biotech entrance exam) conducted by JNU for M.Sc. In biotechnology. After completing Master degree you may be appointed as a junior scientist or practitioner.to groom your carrier much more then you can opt for P.hd and have more opportunities in this field.
Biotechnology is slowly but surely progressing in india and there will be more scope for this in future.

how much percentage is necessary for joining biotechnology?

future in bio tech is bright.
you may join various research company in india or outside india.
they give you lot of money.

mark required but only 60% is eligible for entrance,
you clear the entrance then addmission in college..........

i will recommend u to fetch a technical n professional course like pharmacy, food technology, dairy technology,etc have various course of diploma, btech as well as mtech, only consider biotechnology when u r truly interested in research and wet lab.
in pharmacy all states conduct there joint entrance test and pharmacy is very vast in its self u can switch and specialise in pharmaceutical biotechnology, a good prospects for biopharmaceuticals, good luck

ur definately eligible for the course the most reliable institutes which commence the course r lcra, icra, etc for pgdcr just go through experience in clinical research bcoz its most important, fisrt hav a experience besides ur course, good luck

see ms is a pure research based course, it totally depends on u on which protocols u want to work, there are best place to do ms iit madras & iit delhi in bioprocessing technology can apply through there own selection procedure or wiil recommend u to score GATE in biotechnology which enhance ur probability to fetch agood institute.many industries and institutes and consulting organisations demand ms/md microbiologist/biotechnologist/life science with medical background good luck

how many years does it take to complete the course after 12 standard?

i ve joind a col n taken BE in mechanical.... but i ve got bio technology in new horizon is it worth taking the risk of changing my coll now ...????

Biotechnology is the part of technical education. The students who passed out 10+2 from PCB, than they can take admission in in Biotech. Because it is completly based on biology. The person whose biology subject is best or who has the gud command on biology, they can take admission in this course. Because after medical exams, no other options are better than biotechnology. There are also too much scopes in this field. for example- medicine manufecturing companies, agriculture, forensic clubs , etc. So, this is the best option for those students who is intrested in biology.

Qualified biotechnologists are employed into :

leading indian business houses ,

MNCs including pharmaceutical companies,

chemical industries,

bio-processing industries,

agriculture related industries

and pollution control activities of the major industries etc.

They can even join government and corporate run research and development organizations.
