BSc in Biotechnology can lead to several career opportunities in both the public and private sectors. Graduates can work in various industries, such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare, agriculture, food processing, and biotech research and development. Some common job roles for BSc Biotechnology graduates include Biotech Researcher, Biotech Engineer, Quality Control Analyst, and Biotech Sales and Marketing Manager.

As for the prospects of placement and salary, it depends on various factors, such as the individual's skills and knowledge, the industry they choose to work in, the company they work for, and the location of the job. In general, biotech companies, research organizations, and pharmaceutical firms offer good job prospects for biotech graduates. The average starting salary for BSc Biotechnology graduates in India is around 3-4 lakh per annum, but this can vary depending on several factors.

While a BSc in Biotechnology is sufficient to secure entry-level jobs, some graduates may choose to pursue further studies, such as a Master's degree or a PhD, to enhance their skills and knowledge and increase their career prospects. However, pursuing further studies is not mandatory, and graduates can still have a successful career with a BSc degree in Biotechnology.
