What is the GATE cutoff for getting into IITs?

hii, for getting into the IITs you need to have a percentile of 96 , if you category there is some relaxation.

my dear friend you have to score above 98% in GATE to get admission in iit's...

also you have to clear interview when you passed the GATE exam to get admission in iits............

hello,friend to get admission in IIT,you nedd at least 96% and above.for IIT delhi,bombay its above than 98%.also there is interview process for admission.
so work hard.

hi.cut off marks for obc students are just less than open category.so you prepare as you are a open student.you should get above 95% in gate to get good reputed college...

may you tell me that approximately how many should be required for iits in chemistry branch.

GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is the entrance exam which is conducted by the IIT's on all India basis. This is done to select candidates for the M.Tech admissions in the IIT's, NIT's and the other colleges across India.


The Basic Eligibility Criteria's to be eligible to take up this exam :-


1. Only B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Pharma students can apply for the GATE exam. No other graduates except M.Sc degree holders are eligible to take up GATE.

2. Only final year graduation students can apply for this. Pre final year students cannot.

To get admission in IIT,you need at least 95% and above.

For the famous IITs i.e Delhi,Bombay its above than 98% one has to be expected.After the name appears in the cut off one has to prepare himself for an interview process.
