hii...I am in my 2nd yrM.Sc(biotechnology), i wud like to know what r d jobs opportunities nd how/where shud I apply after completing it.

Now a days the companies may be 'biotech', but the job expected of an MSc is database management -- not experimental. So it is difficult to get the job in this field it's very hard for a fresher to get a job in QC (quality control) or R & D because most companies have small teams and there isn't much job hopping.The alternate option of course is to do a Phd -- either in India or abroad.

You can go for MBA Biotechnology. Other option is go for higher studies leading to PhD and continue your career in research.

You will find good number of jobs in biotech, medicine, healthcare areas.

There are various fields like food industries, pharmaceutical industries, dairy , gene banking, agro based industries and also in R&D dept.. you can also apply to the BCIL(biotech consortium private limited ).It conducts biotech training programm especially for m.sc biotech completed students to get more opprtunities after this 6 months training.. also you can go as a lecturer in any reputed college..

one has to possess higher qualification for it such as phd m phil doctorate for a good job
yours aim should be for becoming scientist
or researcher
or fellow of a university
or academic field of professor.
So go for higher studies....and join pharma company
