After B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering you can find opportunities in many public sector firms as management trainees. Some of these firms are SAIL, DRDO, NTPC, BARC, IOC, ONGC, etc. These firms conduct written test or consider GATE score for short listing the candidates for interview. You can join various posts in central government departments by clearing the written test and interview conducted by UPSC, and SSC. For various posts in state government departments you have to clear the written test and interview conducted by state PSC. You can also appear for various test conducted by Railways, Defense field, Public Sector banks, etc.
