You have to be more specific when taking about SET or State Eligibility Test. The SET entrance exam is not conducted by just one state in India. SET or SLET is conducted by almost all the states in India.

And the dates of exam is different for each state. There is no common entrance test. If that is what you are looking for then I would suggest appearing for the National Eligibility Test which is national level entrance exam for the same purpose.

Therefore if you want exact details about SET exam of a particular state then you must mention the name of the state. Each state conducts the exam on the different time of the year.

For example Gujarat conducts it around the month of October, while Maharashtra conducts it twice during the second half of the year. So far no details are made available for any SET entrance exam in the country.

You should look out for the official website of the state SET in which you are interested to appear. For example - gujaratset.ac.in/ is the official website of the Gujarat SET entrance exam.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Minimum of PG degree is required to appear for this exam.

2. You should posses 55 percent marks in post graduation.

3. The SC/ST candidate should get 50 percent marks.

4. Even final year students are eligible to appear.

5. You must select subject for SLET related to your PG course.

6. The age limit is 28 years for JRF.

7. For SC/ST there is 5 years relaxation.

8. OBC are also eligible for 3 years relaxation.

9. If you are applying for the college lectureshiip, there is no upper age limit.
