LL.B. - Bachelor of Law and after Graduation one can purse LL.B. with duration of 3 years.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having completed Graduation Degree in any stream with 40% marks from a recognised University within the age of 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate, can apply for LL.B. degree course.

Some reputed Institutions conduct admission on the basis of mark secured through entrance exam others conduct admission on the basis of mark secured in Graduation level.

If you have completed graduation then 3 years LLB is the right option. If you have just finished school then BA LLB is the course for you. I hope you have completed Bachelor of Arts to apply for the 3 years LLB course.

There is no difference between two degrees on merit. The BA LLB is a integrated degree which can be completed after 12th. The duration of this course is 5 years. While for LLB you must have finished graduation and the duration of this course is 3 years.

The LLB is bachelor coursre of law. You can apply for it through regular mode only since Bar Council of India has forbidden to offer the course through correspondence.

Although the LLB course is not offered through correspondence there are law courses that are still offered through correspondence. However there is no point going for these courses since none is recognized by the Bar Council of India.

The LLB course is offered by few colleges in India today. Most have migrated to the BA LLB course. However there are still colleges like Banaras Hindu University and the Delhi University which still offers the course.

The percentage in graduation required varies from college to college. While the age limit remains the same since it has been set by the Bar Council of India.

LLB Criteria

1. You can have any graduation degree.

2. 45 to 50 percent marks depending of the university.

3. Relaxation is 5 percent for the SC/ST.

4. The age limit is 30 years for General and OBC.

5. The age relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST.
