Since, you have mentioned that you have passed your Class 12th so you certainly eligible for appearing in SSC CHSL ( Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary School ) level examination for which the minimum educational qualification required is a higher secondary school degree or a degree equivalent to same from a recognized institute.

Further, I would like to mention one thing that you are eligible for appearing in SSC CHSL examination even having failed in Mathematics only if Mathematics is your optional subject and failing in optional subject does not matter for getting passing certificate from your concerned board of examination.

For more details regarding SSC examinations you can refer to the link www.ssc.nic.in.

If mathematics is your main paper and you have failed in it then your final result is fail.

So, you are not eligible to appear for SSC examination.

The required minimum qualification to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed or appearing for 12th board examination.

The minimum age limit is 18 years. For detail information about examination visit at www.ssc.nic.in.

At higher secondary level, Staff Selection Commission conducts Combined Higher Secondary Level examination for recruitment to different posts. The academic qualification required for the SSC CHSL exam is that candidate must have passed 12th from a recognized board.

Candidate who has failed in any subject can not apply for this examination. You will become eligible to apply for the exam after clearing this subject. The minimum age limit for examination is 18 years.

You must have passed in all subjects in 12th board. After passing in every paper only you are considered passed and have valid degree.
After scoring good percentage it is also compulsory to pass in every paper. If you are from Science stream then must have Maths as main paper that is why it is compulsory to pass in that paper also.
You can write SSC examination only after clearing +2.
