What is the passing criteria for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering under WBUT?


I am pursuing B.Tech Mechanical Engineering from a college affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). I wanted to know about the marking scheme of each paper and the passing criteria in each paper of this engineering branch.

In WBUT, One need to secure at least 40 marks out of 100 marks to pass out in each paper.

Marking Distribution of Semester Examination
- 70 Marks of end semester examination
- 30 Marks of internal assessment

Internal Assessment (30 Marks)
- Internal Test : 15 Marks
- Assignments and Quiz : 10 Marks
- Attendance : 5 Marks

- The whole assessment has to be carried out of 100 marks as per below marking distribution by respective college. Colleges send this marks to university and university will convert it into 25 marks. 5 marks will be for attendance.
- Internal Test - 50 Marks
- Assignment - 40 Marks
- Quiz - 10 Marks

Practical
- Internal for continuous evaluation - 40 Marks
- End semester examination - 60 Marks

Internal Evaluation is to be carried out of 100 marks by respective college and university will scale it down to 40 marks.
