DSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police) recruitment is done at state level by state PSC.

Eligibility For DSP
- You must have Indian Citizenship.
- You must have passed bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Your age should be between 21 to 30 years. Relaxation available of 3 years to OBC and 5 years to SC/ST.
- You must be physically fit.

Physical Requirements
- Height : Minimum 168 cms for Men and 155 cms for Women
- Weight : It should be in proportional to height.
- Chest : Minimum 84 cms and chest expansion of 5 cms.
- Eye Sight : 6/6 or 6/9 for distant vision is good for eye.

Selection
- Preliminary Exam
- Main Exam
- Interview

Physical Efficiency Test

Male
- 1600 Meter Race In 7.5 Minutes
- 3.5 Meter Long Jump In 3 Attempts
- 1.15 Meter High Jump Within 3 Attempts
- Vertical Rope : Climb 2 Maters from Ground

Female
- 800 Mater Race In 4 Minutes 45 Seconds
- 3 Meter Long Jump
- 1 Meter High Jump
- Shuttle

Preliminary Exam
- General Studies : 200 Marks
- General Aptitude : 200 Marks

Main Exam
- General Studies I : 300 Marks
- General Studies II : 300 Marks
- General Studies III : 300 Marks
- General Hindi : 300 Marks
- Language II : 300 Marks
- Optional Paper I : 300 Marks
- Optional Paper II : 300 Marks

Interview : 250 Marks

There is no physical test for DSP post. Physical test applicable till sub inspector post.
