Andhra Pradesh Police came into existence in the year 1956 and it was established by the state government of Andhra Pradesh. AP Police is functioning under the control of the Department of Home Affairs of the state and it has its headquarters in the city of Hyderabad. It is headed by the Director General of Police and it is the law enforcement authority of the state. The basic aim of AP Police is to offer protection, diversity and integrity to the people of the state.

Andhra Pradesh Police has called for applications from eligible Indian Nationals (male candidates only) domiciled in the state of Andhra Pradesh for the position of Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constables and here are the details regarding the notification issued in this regard:

Name of the Vacancy: Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constables

Number of Vacancies: 100

Pay Brand: Selected candidates will have to attend training at a fixed stipend per month and on successful completion of the period of training, they will be posted under regular pay of Rs.8440-24950 per month.

Eligibility requirements:

Educational qualification: Minimum educational qualification to apply for the position of Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constables is completion of Class IX.

Physical requirement: Candidates will have to be with a minimum height of 156 cms and minimum chest size is 80 cms with a minimum expansion of 3 cms.

Age: The minimum age requirement to apply for the position is 18 years and maximum age requirement is 27 years.

Selection Process:

The process of selection will begin with preliminary selection test and in this test candidates should cover 3 kms by running in 25 minutes. Second step in the selection process is physical efficiency test, where candidates will have to undergo high jump, shot put and long jump tests. These tests are planned to begin from the 22nd of November 2011.
