Eligibility admission to IIM's

For Post Graduate Programmes in Management:

A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS, with at least 55 percent marks.

Five year/four year Integrated Masters Degree programme in any discipline, with atleast
55 percent marks, obtained after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent

For all IIMs, the minimum eligibility criterion for admission to PGP is at least a three-year

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian

Universities (AIU)/ All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as eligible for Post-Graduate Studies in Management

If you want to get into IIM then you have to crack CAT with very good percentile then only you will get admission into IIM.

You are still in your 10+2 hence you have a long way to go now. If your aim is IIM then you must start preparing for it from now onwards.

You have to complete your graduation after 10+2 then only you will be eligible for CAT exam.

CAT is common admission test for graduates to get admission into MBA course.

Most of the MBA colleges in India give admission on the basis of CAT scorecard.

There are other tests also for MBA but you want to join IIM hence CAT is the option for you.

CAT stands for Common Admission Test. The Indian Institutes of Management started this examination for selecting students who are interested in studying business management programs. Every year in the month of November the exam is conducted. Definitely it is one of the toughest exam to crack but on managing good percentile not only can you study in IIM, but other B-Schools will also take you. With CAT Scores you can apply in most of the top management schools. Even Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) now accepts CAT Scores.

In order to sit for the CAT exam you need to manage minimum 50% of marks or equivalent CGPA at graduation level. The subject you choose at grad level here does not matters as far as you get the above marks to satisfy the criteria.

For the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste and Physically Handicapped Candidates there is some relaxation. They need to get 45% of marks in aggregate at graduation level.

If you are in the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination or have completed degree requirements and awaiting results then also you can apply.

For the written examination there will be two sections and from each section 30 questions each will be asked. For each section you will get 70 minutes each. Once the first section stops you quickly have to move on to the second section and therefore will not get any chance to check the previous section. Whatever you want to do needs to be done within that 70 minutes only.

Before the exam starts you will get a fifteen minutes tutorial. You should go through that carefully to get used to the timer and how fast and cautious you need to be within that short span of time available. It should be noted that for each wrong answer a particular amount of marks will be deducted. So relying on wild guesses can backfire you.

Eligibilty to apply for the CAT exams is:
Graduation pass in any stream with minimum 50% marks for General and OBC candidates and minimum 45% marks for the SC/ST candidates.
Final year Graduation students can also apply

To get calls from IIM, you have to get atleast 98 percentile marks in the CAT written tests
After this you would be called by IIM for the next rounds that is Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

The acronym for IIM is Indian Institute of Management.

The Indian Institutes of Management(IIMs) are a group of 13 public, autonomous institutes of management education in India.

If, you want to get into IIM, then you will have to crack the CAT(Common Admission Test) examination.

Your aim is very good .Keep it up.May your aim be fulfilled!

Now it is time to study well so that you get good marks in Higher secondary examination,because on the basis of your marks in plus two exam,you will get good college for your graduation course.if you get admission in graduation preferably in B.Com in Delhi University,you will have better education to get atleast 50% marks in graduation so that you can apply for CAT,common Aptitude test.

Because in order to take admission in IIM,you are required to do graduation in any stream either in scienca,Arts,commerce engineering or in medical in three to four years.Then you will have to appear for common Aptitude Test,after qualifying this test with high rank,you will get chance for admission in IIM.

IIM - Indian Institute of Management consists of 13 Institutes for Management Education in India.

Following are the qualification required for appearing for any MBA entrance exam

You need to have graduation from UGC recognized college/institute
you need to have atleast 50% marks in your graduation ( 45% in case of SC.ST)
You should not have any back log.

Meeting these condition, you can appear for any MBA entrance exam and score high percentile.

You need to do well in GD/PI to get admission.
