First thing you must note that you have not mentioned that to which standard you are belonging to or the level of your book through which you have studied Biotechnology Chapters.
You must note that Government in order to implement a good level of knowledge prescribed this topics from primary to the post Graduations.You may have also heard it about the course after 12th for Biotechnology.
