I applied for postal assistant exam.Can you please tell me the recruitment procedure?Is there any weightage for 12th standard marks.please clarify my doubts.

Postal Assistant Exam and Sorting Assistant Exam is conducted by the Department of Postal Govt. of India .

If you have completed 12th standard with above 60% marks then you are eligible for Postal assistant Exam .For OBC candidate marks required 50% and for SC/ST candidate marks required 45% .

Your age should be in between 18 to 27 years old.You must know your local language very clearly .

Question are coming from General Knowledge, Mathematics, English and Reasoning & Analytical Ability section so prepare well .They conduct also computer typing skill test so be careful on it .

Written Exam:-

Total No of Question - 200
Total Time - 2.5 Hr

Computer Typing Test :-

Total Time 30 min

If you have passed your 12th std with 60% marks from recognized board then you are eligible for Postal Assistant Exam....

50% marks required for OBC......

45% marks required for SC/ST.....

Age of candidate should be between 18 to 27 years......

You must know your local language very clearly.....

I was attended postal assistant exam held on 21/04/2013 .when the result will be released?
and phase-2 computer typing test date?

when will be the PA exam results will released

kya written test and computer tyiping test same date par hoga. Tyiping hindi ,english dono hone chahiye ya phir english se kaam chal jayega.

I failed to attend phase2 now am i eligible to attend my phase3?without phase 2 can i qualify?

Eligibility Criteria for Postal Assistant Exam:-

Qualification:-

• For the post of postal assistant you need to complete 12th standard of a recognized board first. That is the basic qualification required.
  
• General category candidates at 10+2 level needs to get 60% of marks in aggregate. OBC candidates needs to get 50% of marks and SC/ST candidates needs to get 45% of marks.

Age Criteria:-

• Minimum Age Limit:- 18 years
• Maximum Age Limit:- 27 years

Selection Procedure:-

• Aptitude Test
• Computer Tying Test

Exam Pattern:-

Aptitude Test:-

Give stress on the following areas:-

1) 25 Questions on General Knowledge – 25 marks
2) 25 Questions on Mathematics – 25 Marks
3) 25 Questions on English – 25 marks
4) 25 Questions on Reasoning and Analytical Ability – 25 Marks

Typing test:-

The duration of the typing test is 30 minutes containing 450 words of English paragraph and 375 words in Hindi with a minimum speed of 30/25 words.

Final Selection Procedure:-

• 40% weight-age (Marks obtained in12th class)
• 50% (Marks obtained in aptitude test)
• 10 marks for computer test & typing skills

Postal Assistants Salary:-

The pay scale/ salary of the postal assistants is Rs. 5200/- to 20,200/- plus grade pay of Rs.2400/-.

12th standard marks goes 40% weightage. written test 50% and type test 10%

U can choose Hindi OR English... Only one ...not both

what is the next procedure after writing the exam ?both aptitude test and computer skills test will be on one day?what is the minimum marks should get for exam?
