Hi,
CS- Company secretary. There are two levels at which a student can start pursuing this course. 1 - After 10 + 2/Senior Secondary/intermediate or 2 - After Graduation (10 + 2 + 3). Pattern of the course - A student pursuing the course after 10 + 2 has to get through three academic levels to complete the course . Foundation Intermediate Final While a student starting the course after graduation has to get through only 2 academic levels skipping the first level. Intermediate Final Eligbility criteria to become a CS - Minimum 10+2 from a recognised board. There is no minimum percentage criteria also. |

Re: What are the requirements to become a CS?
You have to undergo 15 months training in CS to get the membership of ICSI. This training is compulsory. However you may join the training after CS executive or even after CS professional. You may finish CS in around 3.5 years including the period of training. The foundation course is followed by intermediate course which is of 9 months and the same is followed by final course. During the course, you will need to undergo various practical training. After successful completion of the training course, you will be awarded the membership of Institute of Company Secretaries of India. There are 3 exams: Preliminary Intermediate Final Subjects Required Qualifications: Foundation - you have to Complete 10+2 for Appearing in Foundation Course. Intermediate - just Complete Foundation course. if you are Graduated then you are Directly Eligible. Final - you must Complete Intermediate Course for Final Course. Duration: Foundation: 8 months Intermediate: 12 months Final: 15 months Thanks.. |

Re: What are the requirements to become a CS?
Dear..
There is no such requirement to become an CS and all the 12th pass candidates are eligible for the exam. Exam is conducted by ICSE and has 3 mains stages. The three main stages of the exam are as follows :- 1. Foundation stage 2. Intermediate 3. CS final Your total duration for the course would be around 3.5 years if you clear every stage in first attempt otherwise every failure will throw you 6 months back and you will be 6 month delay in getting your degree. Other thing that you must know that you have to go for a 15 month training before going for the final exam as ICSE made it a mandatory thing. Other thing which you must know is that you are qualified for intermediate level directly if you are a graduate with 60% marks. Hope it will help Cheers...!!! |
