please tell me what is root canal,and when it is required?and also the cost of it to be done

it is special procedure to save your teeth from complete decay,its quite painful procedure by the way costing about 2500/-

root canal is treatment for decayd tooth. Even i have tooth problem and have taken root canal treatment for that. Actually root canal is the space within the root of a tooth, if it has any problems then we have to get treatment for that.

for how many days the cement filling in the root canal can be kept without going for the next treatment or without keeping the cap.
is this harmful if kept for long days?

it can be kept for about 15 to 20 days,its not harmful provided if you don not eat any hard food on that side of the teeth

It will be harmful if you eat chill items like ice cream etc.and also hard items like walnut etc.

Also avoid toothpaste in which ethanol or ehthyl alcohol is added,general it is not found in all tooth pastes and even if it is present then in adequete ammount so it not a problem.

you should not eat hot and cold things alternately ,if you do so you will get pain

Avoid eating cold hadr food items like-

Ice cream.
cold drinks.
jelly.
nut.
meat.
grapes
coconut.
karela juice.

Also use colgate sensitive toothpaste,it will be good for you.

please tell me which cap are best,
i have taken an ceramic cap,is it good are there any cap better than them also

i had undergone root canal treatment six months back ,is it necessary for me to go for an check up every six months or can i avoid it?
