The preliminary exam of Rajasthan Administrative Service Exam is basically a qualifying exam and the marks obtained in this stage is not considered while making the final selection.

• Each paper in this stage comprise of 200 marks.
• Duration of each paper- 2 Hrs.

The preliminary stage comprise of:

• Paper I - General Knowledge & General Science
• Paper II- Optional Paper
