Re: What is the salary of IAS/Collector?
On selection, you will gone for training which includes rigorous physical training. In Junior Scale, a new recruit joins at this pay scale and has a basic pay of INR 15,600-39,100. Also you will have Grade Pay of INR 5400. After serving two years as a probationary officer, a new IAS recruit gets posted as a sub collector or a SDO.

Re: What is the salary of IAS/Collector?
As a fresh IAS officer (2017 batch)your exact salary would be:
Basic - 56,100 DA - 2805 (@5%) Total - 58905 Out of this 10% would go towards NPS. So you will be left with Rs. 53000. Subtracting about Rs. 2 - 3 K per month for Income Tax yields Rs. 50 K. Since officers are provided accomodation and transportation facility therefore 50K is the final salary of a new officer. The annual increase in salary is 3% per year. So my salary after 2 years in service comes out to be : 53K per month (after tax, NPS deduction ) |
