To join military/Navy your son should be studying or passed 10+2 or should be a graduate.
Later he should appear for exams conducted by UPSC such as CDS, NDA-1, NDA-2, AFCAT, etc.
These are entrance exam through which candidates are recruited to Indian Army/Navy/Air Force.

To get recruited in Indian Navy or Indian Army, candidate can appear for NDA exam (National Defence Academy) once he reaches in 12th standard.

Since, he is in 8th standard now, so for upto 10th standard he can continue his normal studies as per curriculum.

Now, after 10th standard, he has to choose streams wisely. Note that for applying in Navy or Army, following are the requirements.
  • Navy/Air Force - Physics and Mathematics is must in 11th and 12th (PCM candidates can apply)
  • Army - Any stream candidates can apply

So, if he is choosing PCM stream, then he can apply for Army as well as Navy wing, but if he chooses PCB/Commerce/Arts wing, then he can apply for Army wing only.

First of all complete your 12th with PCM combination with minimum aggregate of 75%.

Keep yourself fit , work on your physical ,mental and emotional health.

After 12th you can join Military/ Navy with NDA examination.

You should go for Engineering if you could not make NDA successfully.

With Entrance Exam of Engineering JEE you will get additional opportunity as CES examination.

If you could not make CSE successfully go for Engineering .

Once you completed Engineering You will have opportunies like CDE, INCET , SSC Tech and some more.

You have to clear SSB interview for each examination.

With all this entries you will become officer in Military.
