You should apply for colleges. There are many colleges and most of them accept admission through some entrance exams. You can appear for some good Engineering entrance exams like JEE, RPET and other exams conducted by state Universities.

Re: What should I do so that I can go for engineering in EC?
Engineering is that branch of studies that deals with technical stuffs, advanced levels of technological academics, practical laboratories and more. It is an undoubted fact that India has seen a tremendous rise in the number of engineers it has produced in the last couple of decades and as a result of that it has become a hot course to take up.
If you have done your Class 12th recently and wish to take up Engineering in EC, then here are a few important points that you must be aware of: 1. Engineering is ECE is about Electronics and Communications and is highly respected in the society. However, when one talks about job prospects in core electronics fields, there are hardly good companies that pick up students from campus. Hence, as a personal suggestion I would recommend doing B.Tech/BE in Information Technology/Computer Science. The reason behind this is sheer job availability after you would be done with your course. 2. If you wish to take up B.Tech, then here are a few entrance exams that you have to fill up for. IIT-JEE, AIEEE, BITSAT, WB-JEE, MH-CET, SRMJEE, VITEEE, DCE Entrance and so on. Basically, these are all nation wide Engineering entrance exams which one has to go through and crack to get admission in the top B.tech colleges in india like IITs, NITs, DCE, BITS etc. 3. You have to fill up each of these forms individually by visiting their respective websites and then sit for them according to the exam dates. These would test your knowledge about the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics that you have studied in your class 11th and 12th. Once you are through, you make take admission as per the colleges that you are getting while the counseling. 4. If you wish to take admission without the entrances, there are certain private colleges that grant direct admissions like Amity University, LPU, etc. These would prefer if you have a good engineering entrance score, however they also provide admission on the basis of your Class 12th board results. All that you need to do is buy their college forms and apply. However, please note that without having studied these 3 subjects in your higher secondary you would not be eligible to take up Engineering of any stream. And even if you have score in boards is less than 60% would you not be entertained about B.Tech admissions. |
