Re: How to do MBA after working with IT firm?
If you are working, it is better to opt for a correspondence MBA course. MBA distance course will be valued only if it is taken from a recognized institute. Some of the top institutes which offer MBA distance courses are IGNOU, Amity University, and ICFAI etc. Notifications will be published by each specific institutes mainly in employment news papers, official sites etc. You can apply for the most suitable one as per your interest level. 50% marks in graduation is compulsory to apply for MBA.

Re: How to do MBA after working with IT firm?
It is great that you are already working because the present job market is not really good. There are highly qualified people out there who do not have a proper job at hand. Nor is the lateral hiring process very bright resulting in professional people sitting at home and ending up wasting months. Thus, first off this is a good fact that there is a job at hand.
Now its again good to think about doing MBA because it is certainly a cut above the rest and helps in edging past other peers many times while promotions. MBA stands for Masters in Business Administration and is a post graduation program that is of 2 years. Many people prefer doing MBA full time because of course it has much better returns and value as compared to the one done through correspondence. Here are a few important points to note when one thinks of doing MBA in Distance Education: 1. Some of these programs are recognized in some organizations but there are many out there which do not recognize these degrees and no one can really do anything about it. Hence, keeping this in mind one must not have very high hopes pinned to these courses. 2. The fees for distance courses are drastically low when compares to full time MBA/PGDM Courses. It is roughly around Rs. 30000-100000 that is charged from the student for the full time 2 year course. Whereas the regular MBAs cost nothing less than 10 lacs or more. Hence, lesser market value again. 3. It is always wise for the students to think that the ROI should be good. Return on Investment should be such that one would not feel at loss. Thus, MBA distance programs can be taken up by those who are already working. However, learning totally depends and varies from person to person and in the end everyone has to face an interview to get placed after MBA. Thus, again a neutral chance to crack a good company with good package. 4. Some of the top MBA colleges that grant Distance mode education in India are: A. Symbiosis Center for Distance Learning B. IMT Center for Distance Learning C. NMIMS Distance Education D. IGNOU E. Sikkim Manipal University You may enroll for any of these and get valuable inputs about MBA Education. To know more about them, please visit the official websites of them by clicking on the above links. Also note that doing MBA while working in an IT Company should not be a problem as long as you can devote some of your time for studies on daily basis. |
