Syllabus of physics includes-Solids and Semi-Conductor Devices, Atoms, Molecules and Nuclei, Electrons and Photons, Electromagnetic waves, Wave Optics, Ray Optics, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents, Magnetostatics, Thermal and Chemical Effects of Currents, Magnetic Effects of Currents, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Heat and Thermodynamics, Oscillations, Properties of Matter, Laws of Motion, Rotational Motion and Moment of Inertia, Gravitation, and Description of Motion in one, Two and Three dimensions.

Entrance Test (PET) is the most competitive entrance examination of the state. The candidates in order to appear in the entrance examination have to follow the eligibility criteria given below.

You should be a native of India.

You should fulfill the domicile requirement as laid by the authority.

You should have passed 10+2 of Higher Secondary Board, Madhya Pradesh or of any other recognized Board or University with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as main subjects of study.

The applicants, who have passed final year Diploma in any Engineering branch of Madhya Pradesh Board of Technical Education Bhopal / Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal, are also eligible.

The candidates, who are appearing in the qualifying examination or are waiting for result, can also apply.

The upper age limit of the candidate is restricted to 21 years as on 1st October of the year of admission. Relaxation of three years is there for SC/ST candidates.
