BARC sstand for Bhabha Atomic and Research Centre .

Details of Eligibility

Age : candidate must be between 18 to 22 years

> > Candidates belonging to SC or ST or OBC categories will receive age relaxation as per Govt. Rule.

Educational Qualification:

> > All of the candidates should have 10+2 certificate with subjects Chemical science, Physics, and mathematical science or matriculation school certificate with as a minimum 60 percent mark with an Indian Technological Institution certificate.

BARC Exam Syllabus:-


The syllabus for the Online Test is specific to the Engineering discipline which a candidate has selected.

The questions are intended to assess the basic understanding of subjects in the area of the engineering discipline selected by the candidate.

Emphasis would be on the knowledge and problem solving ability rather than on the memory of the candidate.

Note : General English, General Knowledge, Aptitude etc are not assessed.

Details on Recruitment of BARC Engineers for August 2013

Educational qualification :

• Those candidates who have a four year's bachelor engineering degree in specified stream will be eligible to apply for this exam.
• Candidates bachelor degree should be approved from the AICTE.

Specified Engineering streams are :

1. Aerospace.
2. Industrial Production.
3. Mining.
4. Architecture.
5. Electrochemical Engineering.
6. Sugar Technology.
7. Textile.
8. Electronics and Communication.
9. Information Technology/Computer Science.
10. Petrochemicals.

Note :-

• Those candidates who have a Master degree in Computer Application will be eligible to apply for this exam.
• Candidates having M.sc/P.Hd degree in above stream will not be eligible to apply for this exam.

Age Limit details :

• General Category - 26 years.
• OBC Category - 29 years.
• SC/ST Category - 31 years.

Selection Process :

• Written test will be conducted in two phases.This test will include two sections.Questions will be from General and Technical sections.
• You should also have a valid score card.

Syllabus for Written Exam :

• General Section :- Reasoning and English Grammar.
• Technical Section :- This will include questions related to your Engineering stream.
