Profile:

Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC) came into existence in 1954 BARC and is India’s chief nuclear research facility. BARC has even developed many disease resistant and high-yielding varieties of crops. BARC is also attempting for power generation by conducting research in Liquid Metal Magnetohydrodynamics. Kakrapar Atomic Power Project (KAPP), Rajasthan Atomic Power Project (RAPP), and Tarapur Atomic Power Project (TAPP) are the power projects that work under the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) and which are supported by BARC. BARC started the Homi Bhabha National Institute in order to encourage research in basic sciences.

Job Profile:

Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC) Mumbai invites applications for the post of Stipendiary Trainees Category–II.

No. of posts – 51

Pay Scale – Initially, candidates will be getting a Stipend of Rs. 6200 pm for the 1st year and Rs. 7200 pm for 2nd year and Pay Scale after training is Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2400/ 2000.

Eligibility:

Age Criteria – Candidates must not be less than 18 years and more than 22 years. But, the age requirement is relaxable according to rules.

Physical Standards: candidates must be physically fit with minimum height - 160 cms and minimum weight -  45.5 Kgs. (Relaxable as per rules if medically fit.)
