BARC Stands Bhabha Atomic & Research Centre

Eligibility :

Candidates should have 10+2 with chemical Science , physics & mathematical science (OR) matriculation school certificate with min of 60% aggregate with an Indian Technological Institute certificate

Age limit :

Candidates age limit between 18 to 22 years as on 01.01.2013

Received candidates have age relaxation a per govt rules

BARC is Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.

If you want to join BARC as an Engineering then you have to appear for an examination and qualify it with merit.

Those who are Engineering Graduate with GATE score can apply directly and they don't have to appear for online test.

Following Engineering disciplines are eligible for BARC examination:

-Mechanical Engineering

-Electrical Engineering

-Computer Science Engineering

-Electronics and Communication Engineering

So if you have the required degree with 60% marks then you can apply for BARC when the notification is out.

Examination Pattern:

There will be 100 objective type questions each will carry 3 marks and there will be 1 negative mark every for wrong answers.

The syllabus will be according to your Graduation syllabus so study according what you have studied. There will be questions from your field only so be prepared for it.

Dear user

I am providing you some general instructions about Barc Online test.
All questions of the Online Exam are of objective type (multiple choice questions with only one correct choice of answer). Each correct answer fetches 3 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark (-1mark).
Below i have listed the eligibility criteria and syllabus of BARC:

Eligibility

Candidates with B E/ B Tech with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks .
Age limit
a) General Category - 26 years,
b) OBC-29 years,
c) SC/ST–31 years,
Physically Challenged persons of all categories are eligible for age relaxation of 10 years.

Syllabus

The syllabus for the Online Exam is specific to the Engineering discipline which a candidate has selected.
The questions are intended to assess the basic understanding of subjects in the area of the engineering discipline selected by the candidate.
Emphasis would be on the knowledge and problem solving ability rather than on the memory of the candidate.
General English, General Knowledge, Aptitude etc are not assessed.
