SSC carries out written exams for certain central government jobs. The competitive test is carried out to evaluate the analytical and logical skill of the candidate. The exam usually covers questions on reasoning, aptitude, etc. It may also cover questions on verbal ability and general knowledge. The question pattern will be different for specialist posts.
