Profile:

Subordinate Services Commission was re-designated as Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on 26th September, 1977. Making recruitment to Group C and Group B posts in departments of Government of India is the main responsibility of SSC. Nine regional/sub-regional offices located at different states of India consitutes the network of Staff Selection Commission. A Chairmen assisted by two members and a secretary or controller of Examination, heads the commission.

Job Profile:

Candidates are invited for the vacant posts of Sub Inspector (Group B) in Central Police Organisations Examination, 2010 depending on their educational qualification.

Eligibility:

Candidates should be in between 20 to 25 years of age as on 2 November 2010.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates are required to be a graduate from recognized institute or university for applying for the posts of Sub Inspector (Group B) in Staff Selection Commission.

No. of posts: Total 2275 posts are available.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get the prescribed salary of Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

Selection Process:

Candidates will have to face a competitive written examination first and after that a personal interview test of the qualified candidates will be taken by the selection committee.
