The demand of Forensic Science is less in India now, but what would be its future demand in 2020? What is the chance of a job in a private company other than a government job? GPSC is compulsory for a government job?

Scope of forensic science is increasing day by day in India. There are various investigation agencies in government and private sector, who are always on lookout of fresh talent. If you can study this course from a good college and have good skills, then surely it will be a good career option. You can even become a lecturer or teacher or scientist in this field, if you want to join academics.

Major organizations recruiting in this field are, Central government forensic labs, state government forensic labs, CBI, CID, Intelligence Bureau, RAW, Hospitals, Forest departments, Private detective agencies, and many more such agencies. There are many such opportunities, all you have to do is, study well and be passionate about your field. GPSC is only for Gujarat state government jobs, and they may recruit for only the concerned state.

Every science stream has its own scope as far as career opportunities as well as job opportunities are concerned. In general candidates who have done their Post graduation in Forensic Science background may find good number of job opportunities rather than candidates who are just done with Bachelor Degree in the same stream i.e., in Forensic Science.

As far as my best knowledge is concerned, there will always be demand for candidates who are good at concepts their course. So make sure you pursue well during studies and try to pursue till Master's Degree to find better job opportunities as most of the organizations offer employment opportunities to post graduate students.

You may find employment opportunities in Private Hospitals, Private Detective Agencies, Private Law Firms, Truthlabs, Legal Firms, Private Detective Works..etc., Besides these you may find employment opportunities in, CBI, Central Defence Forces, Intelligence Bureau and in Central Forensic Science Lab..etc.,
