dear friend,
first of all focus on your first year start your preparation from second year because GATE and other exams covers the course of mainly 2nd and 3rd year so clear your concepts of 2nd and 3rd year ........... best of luck |

hello friend
you're thinking about your future career too early its appreciable but for gre or toefel its not that hard to get through them you can relaxedly start your preparation in 3rd year or so for every six months you'll have these exams but meanwhile make grip on your subject and english too all the best ~aditya~ |

Well there are two sections of GRE::
QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE...if you are good in maths 6months to 1 year will be more than enough, adjust time according to yourself. questions are very easy basic kind.. all you need is speed with accuracy. VERBAL:: well this section i would suggest you start today... you need to remember thousands of words, BARRON's GRE has a good collection of words around 5000 You will also need to follow Kaplan's gre book. Also start reading newspapers magazines and practice writing. if you do this you'll get high scores... remember high gRE score means HIGH scholarship Also write a few papers and publish them..It would make your application stronger. Know your subjects. |

Yes, you are right. You need to write GRE and TOEFL or IELTS. For preparing, there is no specific time from when to start. Normally, you can start preparing from 3rd year. Its more than enough. Its too early for you to prepare now. Here, I am attaching a question paper for GRE. It may help you. Thanks |
