[SIZE=4][SIZE=4]KAS2012 Mains exam already completed in month of June[/SIZE][/SIZE][SIZE=4].
KAS Exam 2013 notification will announce in the month of january or febuary

KAS (Prelims) Exam Pattern--There are two papers in KAS (Prelims) Exam. Each paper contains two
parts. Part – 1 & Part – 2. The questions will be in both Kannada & English.

Paper – I :
Part – 1 (National / International / Current Affairs)
Part – 2 (Humanities / Arts / History)
Part – 1contains 40 questions from National & International current affairs carries 80 marks in total.
Part – 2 contains 60 questions from humanities, Arts & History carries 120 marks in total. So from both the parts, Paper – I contains 100 questions that carry 200 marks.

Paper – II :
Part – 1 (General Knowledge / Karnataka State Current Affairs)
Part – 2 (Science & Technology, Environment & Ecology / General Mental Ability)
Part – 1contains 40 questions from General Knowledge / Karnataka State current affairs carries 80 marks in total.
Part –2 contains 30 questions from Science & Technology carries 60 marks & 30 questions related to General Mental Ability carrying 60 marks totaling 120 marks. So from both the parts, Paper – I contains 100 questions that carry 200 marks.

KAS means Karnataka Administrative Service.

The KAS exam is conducted by the Karnataka Public Service Commission once in a year.

Eligibility criteria:-

The candidate should be complete graduation in any stream from a recognised university.

Final year exams appearing candidates may also eligible.

The candidates should be a citizen of india.

Age limits:-

The age limits is 21 years to 30 years,

3 years upper age relaxation for the OBC candidates,

5 years upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.


Selection process:-

Preliminary exam,

Main exam,

Personal interview.


The KAS exam 2012 was already over so you can wait for the next year notification.

Important dates for 2012:-

Commencement of online application forms--> 11-11-2011,

Last date to apply online--> 12-12-2011,

Preliminary exam will be held in february 2012,

Mains exam will be held in june 2012.

Sir,am divya(20), i had completed degree in BBM(marketing) ..this year only with First class marks..but am very interested in IAS and KAS exams..am worried about my knowledge,i dnt have gk skill...if i saw any IAS students .i feel bad about me..i want to achive something in this field only..suggest me sir..is am able to take next year exams?i want to start studeing,but i don'tknow from where i have to start?which books i have syudy first?

U can refer to the KPSC web site ( "kpsc.kar.nic.in" ).
There every details are provided.
KAS exam notification wil in the main page or else you can refer to NOTIFICATION field in that website.

KAS is conducted this year in June 2012,
Now it will be conducted next year in 2013

KAS - Karnataka Administrative Service conducted by Karnataka Public Service Commission one every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian Citizen having completed Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 28 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

The KAS exam for 2012 has already been completed and the forthcoming KAS exam will be held on May-June 2013.

Better solution is Internet .........Go and search like current events of national and international importance ect......... This is the better media to learn anything..........

KAS- stands for Karnataka Administrative Services.

It brings youths in administration work so as to make the working body of government efficient.

For applying KAS exam you should be graduate from a recognized university. You should score first class marks in graduation.

Age limit : 21-30 years. Relaxation for SC/ST and OBC catagories.

preliminary test will be around January 2013.
And main exam will be conducted around in the month of May.
