GATE i.e Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering and the examination was conducted Once in a year by IIT's

Eligibility Criteria for GATE Examination :-

• You must have passed degree in engineering/technology/architecture from a recognized University or equivalent qualification.
• You must have passed post-degree in science/statistics/mathematics/computer science from a recognized University or equivalent qualification.
• Final year students are eligible to apply for this examination.
• But Pre-Final year students are not eligible to apply for this examination.
