There are basically two ways to join Indian Air Force:

• By qualifying Combined Defense Service Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission.
• By qualifying Air Force Common Admission Test conducted by Air Force Selection Board.

Both the examinations are conducted twice a year. As far as Combined Defense Service Examination is concerned, candidates may apply through online application form available at the official website of Union Public Service Commission. The application forms are made available as soon as the notification is published.
In order to apply for the Air Force Common Admission Test, candidates may download the application form from the official website of Indian Air Force or may also send the application form as per the format published in Employment News and other major newspapers of India. The notification for the Air Force Common Admission Test is published in the month of June and December every year.

Application Form For Indian Air Force

A candidate can get into the Indian Air Force through NDA(National Defense Academy), CDS (Combined Defense Services) or AFCAT(Air Force Common Admission Test)

In order to appear for the NDA..a candidate must have the following conditions :-

>> Candidate must be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years..

>> Candidate must have completed 12th with Physics and Maths..

In order to appear for the CDS candidate :-

>> must be within the age limit of 19-23 years..

>> must have completed graduation with Physics and Maths..

In order to appear for the AFCAT candidate must :-

>> be within the age limit of 19-23 years for flying branch..18-28 years for technical branch and 20-23 years for ground duty branches..

>> have completed B.E/B.Tech or B.Sc. with an aggregate of 60%
