Hi everyone, I am 15 years old and I heard people are saying that the applicant must be 18-23 years of age to fill the NDA application. Is it true? I want to fill the NDA application. Please help me in this regard.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy and to join the same one is required to qualify NDA examination held twice every year by UPSC.

Further, the age limit for appearing in NDA I examination held generally in the month of April every year, your age need to lie within 16.5 years to 19.5 years by the 2nd January of following year while for appearing in NDA II examination generally held in the month of August/September, your age need to lie within 16.5 years to 19.5 years by the 2nd July of the following year.

So, being just 5 years old, you are not eligible for appearing in NDA Examination at this stage.

Age limit for NDA application-
* For NDA 1: candidates should be not born earlier than July 2, 2001 & not later than July 1, 2004.
* For NDA 2 : candidates should be not born earlier than january 2, 2002 & not later than january 1, 2005.

To be eligible for NDA exam, your age must be between 16 to 19 years.

Minimum Age
15.7 years (not after 1st January 2005)/ 16 years during the starting of course

Maximum Age
18.7 years (not before 2nd January 2002)/ 19 years during the starting of course

Recently, NDA exam (I) & (II) was conducted on 6th September 2020. Now, NDA courses will be commencing from January 2021 and July 2021 for NDA (I) and NDA (II).
